Jurrita Williams 

Jurrita is a daughter, loved deeply and forever forgiven by God.  Because of God's unshakable love for her, her passion runs deep to know His Son, Jesus, and to be a catalyst in helping others know Him with her. As her life is transformed by the power of His Spirit through the Scriptures, she longs to see others enjoy her Savior as their own. Teaching, encouraging, serving and being present with men, women and children in their walk with the Lord through His Word is what she lives for! 

Jurrita spent 3 years as a 1st grade teacher and 2 years as a K-6 Reading Coach in the Montgomery, AL public school system.  After serving 9 years in full time ministry as an associate minister and youth pastor she moved her life to Dallas, TX to become a full time student at Dallas Theological Seminary.  She serves as a full time care giver for an 84 year old who suffers through early dementia and works part time as a Sunday School lead teacher at her church.  Jurrita has recently completed the 2nd of 4 years of her Masters of theology degree and for the first time in its 93 year history, the student body of Dallas Theological Seminary voted Jurrita as the first female and first African American Council President for the 2017-18 school year.

With a burning passion of receiving truth and giving it away, Jurrita's heart is to use her education and life experiences to aid in equipping the Church and marketplace in critically thinking through theology, history, culture, race, and gender with an emphasis in how these entities intersect for the beauty of human flourishing.

“Go after Jesus.... that's my advice to young women.  Not for gain or for gold but for Him.  He is the center of the universe and it is in Him you'll find life and liberty.  Find your identity in Christ through scripture AND in community. Pray and ask God to give you people to study the scriptures with and for a mature woman to mentor your life and give her permission to get in your business.  We were not built to do this alone! The Word of God will not only give you firm identity in who He is but will center your very being on this earth and in His presence. Nothing else in your life will matter until you realize you are HIS!”
