Bella Smiles Cosmetic and Family Dentistry

Dr. India D. Gibson, a native of Winnfield, Louisiana, developed a passion for helping others early on. Her commitment to service was demonstrated by her participation in school and church community outreach programs. The importance of discipline and education were greatly instilled in her by her parents and grandparents. 

With a desire to make a positive impact within her community, Dr. Gibson found her inspiration to pursue a career in Dentistry while volunteering at a community dental health center. 

Dr. Gibson earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Grambling State University, where she actively participated in various student organizations and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. 

Dr. Gibson went on to pursue her dream of becoming a Dentist at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2008.

Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Gibson went on to fulfill her National Health Service Corps obligation at David Raines Community Health Centers in Bossier City, Louisiana, where she served as Dental Director and provided dental care to low income patients of all ages. As a volunteer with ReachOut Healthcare America, Dr. Gibson has provided dental screenings and treatment to military personnel preparing for deployment. 


In December 2016, Dr. Gibson opened her own private dental practice. Bella Smiles Cosmetic and Family Dentistry is a modern dental practice specializing in individualized patient care and is located in Sugar Land, Texas. 

Her professional affiliations include the Academy of Sports Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Greater Houston Dental Society, Houston Minority Dental Society, and Texas Dental Association. 


What is it like to be a female boss in the health care industry?  

Skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, it is imperative to stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for patients. I strongly believe in patient education to prevent oral health problems before they occur. 

As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team and I value each and every patient relationship. It is my goal as a clinician to create a better dental experience for my patients. I believe that everyone deserves to have a beautiful smile that reflects their inner beauty and it is my goal to create beautiful, lasting smiles for patients of all ages.
